Tom:
Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the real estate web profits telecast.
I’d like to introduce my good friend Bill Twiffer. Bill has
bought over 850 properties over the past eight years. Bill has perfected
the art of negotiating with sellers and tonight he’s going
to spill the beans. Go ahead and grab a pen and notepad to write
some notes as Bill is going to share some valuable information that
will help in your real estate business. Welcome to the call, Bill.
Bill Twiffer:
Hey, thanks a lot, Tom. How are you tonight?
Tom:
Great. Great. So before we get started Bill, could you tell my listeners
how you got started as a real estate investor?
Bill Twiffer:
Well, I tell you what I was real estate agent back in the mid 90’s
in Colorado. I run into five or six or seven listings in a row where
these people were in foreclosure.
Tom:
Okay.
Bill Twiffer:
What I did is I helped them out and I help them through the foreclosure
process. Then I find out that I can make so much more money doing
foreclosures than being a real estate agent.
Tom:
Right.
Bill Twiffer:
So what I did was I went out and I started going after foreclosures
instead of going after listings. I went after foreclosures and started
helping them out and showing them how I can get them cash out the
house before they lost it.
Tom:
Okay.
Bill Twiffer:
So it turned out to be very rewarding.
Tom:
That sounds great. That sounds great. So you’ve been an investor
for how many years now?
Bill Twiffer:
I've been a real estate investor for a little bit over eight years.
Tom:
A little over eight years. So how many transactions have you done
over the past eight years?
Bill Twiffer:
Eight hundred and fifty-five.
Tom:
Man, that’s great. That’s great.
Bill Twiffer:
I've been cranking the deals out. And now I'm speaking a lot so
we’re not doing as many as we use to, but we’re out
there speaking and teaching, but we’re still doing real estate
deals. That’s one thing nice about working with speakers that
are still doing deals, because everything changes all the time in
their presentations because things change in transactions. With
us out there doing them, it makes a big difference.
Tom:
Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.
Bill Twiffer:
Yeah, we’re teaching stuff that works.
Tom:
So why do you think what you teach is important to real estate investors?
